Country singer Kylie Frey, a 28-year-old from Opelousas, La., was one of several musical acts for the night, performing for Simon, but also judges Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Howie Mandel.

“I’m from a big rodeo family,” Kylie says. “I was a rodeo queen. I started singing the national anthem for every rodeo that I showed up to because I just love to sing.”

Simon asked if she had always wanted to appear on AGT – and that’s when he got a surprise!

“I grew up watching you on the show,” she tells him. “I had birthday parties and I impersonated you. I had all my friends come over and I was Simon.”

Sofia asks Kylie to impersonate Simon, and embarrassed, she does, saying in a bad British accent, “That was terrible.” To which Simon responded, “That was terrible. But I still like you.”

It’s a relief for Kylie, who was hoping to impress him. She says, “It means the world to be here in front of you.”

Kylie performs an original song called “Horses in Heaven” that she wrote for her grandfather.

“He always told me, if I sang the national anthem for every rodeo that I showed up to, that one day someone would ask me to sing the national anthem at the NFR, which is the Super Bowl of rodeo. That’s how I was going to get my start, because that’s how Reba [McEntire] did and that’s how I was going to do it, too.”

“Beautiful,” says Terry Crews, but to find out the opinions from the judges, you’ll have to turn into America’s Got Talent on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
